Realtime, Fine-Grained Spectrum Sharing Prototype
Developed prototype implementation of fine-grained spectrum sharing network where multiple RAN tenants are allocated a dynamic PRB quota at 1ms intervals (1 TTI in LTE). Showcased the cell and tenant throughput benefits of spectrum sharing among RAN tenants at a granular level. The demonstrated throughput was close to the theoretical maximum of the given radio bandwidth.
MEC specific Lightweight SDN/NFV MANO Platform
Called LightMANO, the platform converges SDN/NFV and MANO stack at the network edge on top of a hybrid (ARM + x64) Kubernetes cluster consisting of Raspberry Pi, x86 Virtual Machines and Linux Hosts. The cluster served as 5G network edge hosting services (Video Streaming, Encoding) and access functions (Radio Access). Docker containers used as VNFs for WiFi and LTE Access provisioning.
Distributed Resource Map for Cognitive Radio Networks
A database driven application that collected data from spectrum sensing algorithm at the MAC layer and developed a radio environment map for predictive channel access. Implemented learning algorithm for abstracting collected inputs into channel maps for secondary user access.
Dynamic Spectrum Access Demo using Energy Sensing
A prototype Cognitive Radio ad hoc network where a cognitive Tx/Rx pair sensed the Primary User channels and selected the most valuable channel based on derived statistics of the Primary Users activities.
crSimulator - A Cognitive Radio Network Simulation Framework
A simulation tool/model developed forOMNeT++ platform. This model can be used to test different aspects of Cognitive Radio ad hoc network including primary and secondary user network performance evaluation
